STEP1 Request for the initial consultation and appointment

Please contact Living in Japan VISA from this initial contact form.
We’ll be back to you with available date and time of the initial consultation.

STEP2 The first consultation (at our office)

When the first appointment is confirmed, please come to our office (WEBMO Inc., Mizonokuchi station, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa) bringing with you your passport, Residency Card, other documents relating to your entry and residency in Japan to have an initial meeting with a notary public. It will take normally a half an hour to one hour, but may last longer. The fee is 5,500 yen (tax included).

STEP3 Fee estimate

After hearing your consultation issues, circumstances and your intention, the engaged notary public shall propose the assistance he/she can provide with an estimated fee schedule.

STEP4 Signing a contract

When you have decided to engage the notary public to represent you, an entrusting agreement shall be signed. After the initial deposit payment is confirmed, the notary public will explain you what other documents and information are required.

STEP5 Preparation of necessary documents (Our office)

The rotary public draws up necessary documents promptly.

STEP6 Confirmation of necessary documents (at our office)

When the documents are prepared, you need to peruse them and when you are satisfied, please put your signature and seal.
Please come visit our office (above mentioned address) with your seal.

STEP7 Submission of required documents

The notary public submits the documents to the relevant government agency office.
The application for naturalization or the request for a special permission to stay have to be submitted by the applicant him/herself but the notary public will accompany you.

STEP8 Screening by the government office

You need to wait for the result of the screening. The duration varies by the relevant agency and the case in question. During this period, some question may be addressed and additional information may be requested by the agency, which need to be responded.

STEP9 Inform the result (at our office)

The result of the screening is shared with you at our office (above mentioned address). At the same time, we advise you what the next step is. You are asked to pay the fee.
If the result fails to satisfy your aim, we will discuss how to proceed hereafter including re-submission of the application. This consultation is free of charge.
