Spicy and Flavorful Mala-Style Soup

It’s inspired by the bold flavors of mala and is packed with plenty of vegetables. Surprisingly, you can get a wealth of nutrients in just one serving! Being healthy is a nice point!

<Ingredients>
Glass noodles: 15g
Komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach): 40g
Napa cabbage: 80g
Frozen shrimp: 1 piece (15g)
Pork belly: 20g
Bean sprouts: 30g
Carrot: 15g
Water: 80ml
Milk: 100ml
Doubanjiang (spicy bean paste): 2g
Granulated Japanese dashi: 3g (1 teaspoon)
Grated garlic: 5g
Chili oil: to taste

<Preparation>
Pour boiling water (not included in the ingredient list) into the soup jar and it keeps warm uncovered for at least 5 minutes to preheat.

<Instructions>
1. Cut the napa cabbage and pork belly into 5 cm-wide pieces, and slice the carrot into thin rounds approximately 2 mm thick.
2. Put the chopped ingredients from step [1] into a microwave-safe bowl and heat in the microwave at 500W for 1 minute.
3. Put water, milk, doubanjiang, and granulated dashi in a pot. Heat over medium heat.
4. Put the microwaved napa cabbage, pork belly, bean sprouts, and carrot to the pot.
5. Once the ingredients in the pot have softened, put the komatsuna, frozen shrimp, and grated garlic. Simmer for approximately 1 minute.
6. Put the glass noodles into the soup jar. Pour the soup from step [5] into the soup jar, and it’s finished!

Creamy Pumpkin and Broccoli Pasta

The soup jar isn’t just for soups, it’s also suitable for bringing pasta! This “Creamy Pumpkin and Broccoli Pasta” is very easy to make, it’s just warmed the ingredients in the microwave and transferred them to the soup jar.
Moreover, the penne pasta cooks through with the jar’s heat retention, so there’s no need for boiling. It’s an ally on busy mornings!

<Ingredients>
Penne: 30g
Half-sized bacon: 2 slices
Frozen pumpkin: 3 pieces (80g)
Frozen broccoli: 2 pieces (30g)
Consommé powder: 1/4 teaspoon
Salt: a pinch
Olive oil: 1 teaspoon
Water: 50ml
Milk: 150ml

<Preparation>
Pour boiling water (not included in the ingredient list) into the soup jar and it keeps warm uncovered for at least 5 minutes to preheat.

<Instructions>
1. Cut the bacon by 1 cm-wide strips.
2. Microwave all the ingredients except the penne at 500W for 5 minutes.
3. Put the penne into the soup jar, then put the heated ingredients from step [2] into the jar.
