[Tokyo] Recommended Illumination Spots 2019

As Christmas approaches, various illumination events are held in areas around Japan. Wouldn’t you like to go and view a magical illumination? Today, I would like to introduce you to some recommended illumination spots within Tokyo.

Ao-no Dokutsu SHIBUYA

Blue LED lights, using the image of the famous Italian tourist spot “Blue Grotto”, light up and color a total distance of 800m from Shibuya Koen-Dori Avenue to the row of Zelkova trees in Yoyogi Park. This is recommended for people who want to enjoy a mystical atmosphere.

Ebisu Garden Place Winter Illumination 2019

Around 100,000 champagne gold lights illuminate Ebisu Garden Place. In Centre Square, there is the world’s largest Baccarat chandelier. In Clock Square, there is a colorful Christmas tree exhibited, which is around 10m tall. This is recommended for people who want to enjoy a more adult-oriented Christmas experience.

Marunouchi Illumination 2019

Around 1 million LED lights in the Marunouchi original color “Champagne Gold” color a street area approximately 1.2km long, with over 220 trees, along Naka-Dori Avenue in Marunouchi. This is recommended for people who want to enjoy shopping and dinner as well as the illumination.

Caretta Illumination 2019 – Arabian Nights

There is the performance of the illumination inspired by the hit song “A Whole New World” from the Disney movie “Aladdin”. This is recommended for people who wish to enjoy as if you are in the world of “Aladdin”.

Megurogawa River Minna-no-Illumination 2019

You can see the blooming of the “Fuyu-no Sakura®” with the LED lights draped along rows of Cherry Blossom trees, at Megurogawa River, famous spot for cherry blossoms. Using bio-diesel fuel created from waste cooking oil in the region, it uses 100% self-produced power. This is recommended for people who concerned with reducing CO2.

You will find an illumination of approximately 500,000 lights within the facilities of Tokyo Skytree Town®. In the Sky Arena, against the backdrop of the special Christmas lighting for Tokyo Skytree® you will find the Christmas tree made out of natural “fir tree”. This is recommended for people who want to enjoy a special time with the people important to them.

Roppongi Hills Christmas 2019

The Keyakizaka Illumination, where the “SNOW & BLUE” LED light up the trees of Keyakizaka has a sophisticated urban sparkle. Mohri Garden and 66 Plaza have illuminations with the themes of “CANDLE & SNOW” and “AMBER & CANDLE” respectively, and there is an elegant Christmas tree in West Walk. This is recommended for people who want to enjoy the urban-style Christmas.
